So they come in many forms: there are the Cloud fanboys, the Tidus fangirls (no comment), the Aeris revivers, the ones hu typ lyk dis, and, recently, the nine year old Barney haters who beg you to post 111 and be their friend. There are the morons who get banned within a week, the trouble-makers who manage to annoy every single moderator daily, and, occasionally, even a relatively normal person who turns out to be pretty cool. Every once in a while, a truly heroic, magnificent character comes along with style enough to cry, " MARRY ME IM POLISH!!!! " in despair before proceeding to make threads questioning whether sausages masturbate.

Often, they come in masses. Will EoFF ever truly know the reason for this? Probably not, although it has been speculated that the appearance of Aeris's chest in the EoFF banner had something to do with it in the past. Perhaps lately, the newbies arrive simply because they want to let us know that love really hurts.

Last year's Best Newbie winners were Shauna, formally known as yuna_elena, and RPJesus; I can only assume that the former won because people are terrified by her Scottish head and pornographic tendencies. The latter, apparently, is the Jesus of RPGs, and therefore it is not a great surprise that they won: he/she/it is the SECOND COMING (or, in this case, the FIRST COMING!) who came to save us all from rubbish RPGs!!!!!!!111one!1 I salute you, sir! ...Or, um, madam. You tell me. What gender is "J"?

We learn a lot from newbies. For instance, we now know that they are capable of making the best posts ever, and that sometimes, love hurts.

As for the glory of this year's Ciddie... WHO WILL IT BE? Citizen Soup, DarkFirah, Dr.X, ekinserge, Evastio, lovehurts (whose love calls out to me like a foghorn in the mist, and hurts), Owen Macwere or Vincent, Thunder God?
