Error in Fort Condor

I'm in the part were your leader is cid on the second disk. I headed to condor to get the huge materia, but for some reason, I'm encountering an erorr.

When I gave the guy cash, and told him to begin, he said I should make it at least four thousand. I put in more then four thousand, so I went to check the cash. At this moment he told me that the current gil they had was zero again. I tried donating just 4k, but the same problem occures. Every time I leave the donation screen, the gil I donated is lost. Does anyone know whats happening?

Donating gil is pointless. What he actually means if that you should have at least 4,000 gil so you can afford the soldiers.

Just accept to help them and fight the battle yourself. It's best if you purposefully lose, so you can fight the CMD. Grand Horn, for which you will receive an Imperial Guard.

*Twitches* Thousands of gil down the drain... Oh well, thanks. I was under the impression you had to pay the gil to them to do it, not have it yourself.
