EDIT: Jess, I remembered something about you wanted to change the bar, doesn't it? I was changing mine, and found this one (rubysteel.zip), I don't use it, but you could. this file will help to get your screen nearly all pink n.nU, use it with knowledge.

Go to "my pc", then to your Hard Drive, next to your carpet Windows --> Resources --> Themes and paste this file (unzipped) there, next, go to your desktop and right click in the mouse, in the Appearance Tab, and like you where to change the XP Style to an old one, search for the rubysteel one, or just double click the unzipped file :riiight:

My laptop definitely just doesn't like it. It's not working at all! Thanks very much, anyway!

Maybe the Style XP, but you can install the style without it... but search for it, it helps to install things like this one n.n

You should use the Creative Surround Mixer. It's a nicer icon than the default Windows one.

Yeah, the only reason for not using the Creative Mixer is because many of the creative products load more slowly than the native windows ones.

Looking forward to the KDE goodness. (Speaking of which, I need to boot into Linux and post my desktop from there too.)

It takes just a little bit longer to load. Maybe two seconds at startup and the footprint is small, maybe 1-2MB. Of course that's all I have running at startup (120MB total ) so I don't notice the load that much. Interestingly enough, I have a lot more startup items running when I login to KDE, but I still have a small memort footprint, around 140MB without any swap use. I love memory management in Linux.
