A 20-year-old with childish interests = hate from the public...
I'm a guy who really likes to play around with "childish" stuff, and I take it very seriously.
However, none of my acquaintances really share this passion, and that's pretty boring.
My friends are generally much more interested in cars and vehicles, and my parents think it's "unfitting" to spend time with it "because I soon turn 20".
But really, why should I stop spending time with it if it brings me happiness?
I mean, they don't think I should play video games because it's "for kids" (yeah right, Perfect Dark and Resident Evil...?), they start whining whenever I read comics (Donald Duck ftw!) and I'm approached pretty much the same way by everyone around me.
I think this is very sad, I shouldn't have to adapt to their prejudiced views or anything; I'm an individual, I like childish stuff, they don't, alright, but they should at least shut up almost it!

Live your life the way you think it should be lived. Why even care about what others think or say? You seem to have a lot of issues, as do we all, but why not try and come at it from a different point of view? We all rise above reality.

If you have no intention of changing for the sake of them, then you should alway remain as who you really are and if they are really your friends, they will compromise and accept you.
PS: I did changed a bit of my childish way when I started working though.

By 'childish' things I presumed you meant lego or Lazytown or some such. Videogames aren't childish. The preponderance of gamers are in their twenties.
And it doesn't matter what they think anyway, as long as you enjoy what you're doing. If you wanna play videogames, go for it. If you wanna play with barbies, go for it.
