Rooney apparently elbowed a Porto player in the face.
I think the real news is that Man. United managed to get two players sent off and still beat Porto 3-1. I know they're hardly world-beating opposition, but they're still the Portuguese champions, so it's a pretty impressive result.

So apparantly we're trying to sign Hatem Trabelsi from Ajax and of Tunisa. One of the best right backs in the world, attacking and a good boss, if injury prone. I'm supposing he'll take over the first choice spot with Danny Mills for cover, or Jihai Sun, but i'd like Sun to be on the pitch playing somewhere else, which he's capable of. And also apparantly Portsmouth want to buy David James off us :D :D D: :D:D: I hope we get a new keeper and offload James finally.

Roberts scoring again, and Pedersen scoring another great goal to add to his collection and McCarthy got off to a superb start scoring on the volley and could of got a hat-trick.
Signs are showing that Roberts and McCarthy will be a great partnership this season.

not inspiring, but not a stampede. also shows Villa are lacking up front, especially with injuries.
PS- im slightly worried about Martin Oneill being trumpeted as a godsend, id rather hang back and see what happens first. i like O Neill, but when people say villa for Champions league in 3 years, i have to wonder.
PSS- is that Jason Roberts? ie ex Wigan- he play for Blackburn? wigan could go down, they didnt play too well at the end, and theyve lost players.
