I think he could be replaced by a tape recording of himself saying "That night in Barcelona!" over and over again and nobody would notice the difference.

Mascarpone was indeed immense, made some fantastic tackles. Kuyt was onside for his goal and as for Cech v Reina, generally i'd take Cech but reina went the right way every time, cech did not.

Happy to see Liverpool go through, was hoping they would. The ref was very lenient in this match and I hope the same happens with the United-Milan match, to avoid unfair advantages because some ref felt like being a little more hard on players in another semi and therefore gave Ronaldo a yellow. That would make the final a bit of a farce.

Hope we meet you in Athens, though. Better us than Milan, you've been there, done that already.

So glad Chelsea have no chance of the treble now, and aren't likely to get more than two trophies this season at a maximum. I really would have hated having two cup finals against the same opposition.

Yeah, Cech is the best of the two all-round, but for penalties, I don't think there is a keeper in England who can top Pepe Reina.

I agree 100%. No matter the opposition, I hope they are full-strength and have no suspensions.

I could take losing to Milan, though. Just.

No Champions League, probably no Premiership. Bye bye, Jose?

Loony Bob, Milan only need to win 1-0. You appear to feel you are already through. Granted keeping the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes etc out isn't easy for any team but at the san siro Milan can do that.

To sack Jose would be absurd, he is one of the best managers around and with the correct backing Chelsea will be challenging for at least 4 trophies next year and still could get three this year (though the title is unlikely).

It will be interesting to see what transfers are made this summer with rumours of Torres and Van der Vaart at united, the new money at liverpool and abramovich's millions. Shame i'll be watching League two football.

Mourinho should resign, because Abramovich will sack him come the end of the season anyway, which I think is a little sad given everything he has done for Chelsea. Most importantly, he provides the premiership with some crazy moments too.

On a second note, I was shouting for Liverpool throughout the whole match, and was delighted to see them win. It's all because it would make the end of the season lack-lustre in terms of Chelsea V Unitedx3 in the space of a few weeks (given of course we get through to the final). Besides that, even though I hate the kop, they can at least call themselves a real team, unless the Chelsea circus.

Great game to watch too, very high tempo match.

Congrats to the Red Team. HAHA sux 2 b u to the Blue Team. Now let's put an end to their last hopes of a title challenge on Sunday, too.

Great game to watch? What game were you watching, seen from a objective point of view it was a pretty dismal game overall.

It was played with real intensity, and the stakes were high. That obviously meant it was played with alot of heart. Yeah, I mean the football wasn't exactly great, but I thought it was a fascinating game to watch.

Half-time - have Man Utd let it slip or are we going to get a repeat of Turin in 1999? =O

Well, it's not as if Milan haven't thrown away first half leads in the CL before. But I can't see them collapsing at the San Siro like they did in Istanbul, particularly with Gattuso playing the way he is now. I hope United up their game a bit in the second half, though. If they can grab a gol soon after the kick-off then it'll be a heck of a finish.

It's Milan v Liverpool part II!

No Trebles or Quadruples, thank god!

Of all the possible Semi-Final outcomes, I think this is the one I'm happiest with. The prospect of a final between two Premiership sides wasn't a particularly exciting one, and like charliepanayi says, we can all rest easy, knowing there's no danger of United taking all of the major trophies anymore. Besides, Liverpool and Milan gave us a great Final last time, and if this one's half as good as that game then it'll be an impressive spectacle. I'm really looking forward to it.
