That's fair enough, but while it's hardly comparable to Chelsea's spending, to spend £30m plus on one or two players doesn't exactly suggest hard times. As it is, I think United are going to be making quite a few changes over the summer, and when it comes down to it the price of those changes matters very little. United's next stars are just as likely to come from their youth ranks as from big-money transfers anyway.
