I'm exaggerating a bit when I say half way. I finished probably 85-90% of DMC, but I was forcing myself to play through much of the latter parts of the game. No amount of cool bosses could make up for the repetitive gameply, and the fact that the game is just far longer than it should be in my eyes, especially when you're fighting some of those cool bosses for the third time. I skipped DMC2, but did pick up the DMC3 special edition and try to get into it, but it wasn't long before I realized nothing had really changed and the gameplay grew old even faster than it had for me in DMC. If these games at least had a good story I could probably stay interested in them until the end.Originally Posted by Shoden
And I personally don't think Pandora's temple was too long at all. If it had been the same thing over and over I'd agree with you, but there was enough variety in the locations to keep me interested, and I was never in any given area of the temple long enough to tire of it. I really liked the pacing of the whole area.
