i would change the girly dialogue and the storyline. Other FF stories had so much depth that gave them incredible length. I reckon the X-2 storyline should have revolved more around Sin and the Fayth, maybe something like Shuyin was the first Sin or something. More playable characters would have been nice but not a nessecity since YRP can become all classes. And you shouldn't be able to equip the same garment grid to all three girls. Also the battle system absolutely rocked so that should stay. Brother can stay but his infatuation with yuna has got to go.
