Like-abilaty of FF8

Im a huge FF8 fan, got the collection of figures and the OST which cost me £60 5 years ago It was the first FF and RPG I played, so it ranks as the number one game for me.

Thanks Leeza for the FAQ tip, but let me just say that I am amassive fan of Final Fantasy 8 and I just find it anoying when people dis it when they havn't even played it or as aforementioned; could'nt cope with the junctioning system

Dont go down this road. So what if people diss it. Its not ruining the game is it? People will still continue to play and enjoy it. Just ignore those who hate it.

This game is pretty likeable, I'll give it a 7 out of 10. FFIX is my favorite, as you can see, and FFVII is my second favorite. X and VIII are tied with me right now, but I think I'm leaning towards VIII.

I think I never enjoyed the game before because I didn't understand how to junction. But, I recently learned that I have to collect 100 of each magic, and it's a hassel, but it's fun. The results are great after that!

Is it me or are there not as many fans of FF8 as other FF titles?

There must not be too many FF8 haters since it's the second top selling FF I think. Or maybe third...other FF's are better imo.

I loved this game and still do. It has to be my favourite. It was my first FF so that might be why I love it. Everyone keeps on about the Junctioning system being confuzzling but I thought FF7 was confuzzling (equiping and all that) but that could be because I got used to this one. Its true though, I've found that not a lot of people continued to buy FF's because of this game. Again its probably one of those 'hate it or love it' things.

You can't stock 100 of every type of magic. You can only stock 32 different spells. There is much more than 32 spells that can be drawn, so you have to be careful what you draw, and you should only draw the magic that you absolutely need. Because those slots fill up quickly.

FFVIII was my first and is my all time favorite. I also believe it has some of the best summon and magic animations of the series and the best cast of characters with the most believable personalities. People will argue, but I don't really give a crap

I personally liked FFVIII, it's probably my second favourite FF game, next to FFX. But I suppose it's really one of those "love it or hate it" types... most people were put off by the Junctioning system.

Word for word that is exactly what I was going to say!

I loved the Junction system!! After you get the ragnarok and have access to Cactuar Island and the good drawpoints the game is just way to easy. (a tip for you guys who don't get it, good draw points are at the island closest to heaven/hell and you gain 20ap from 1 cactuar. refining items is a good way to get magic)


As for X-2, I used to hate it then I realized that it was my fault for not doing everything. Now I don't mind it much, but I killed it.

Just you. I don't know, it just seems to me like a lot [=more than I thought I'd find] of people do seem to love FFVIII after all.

Good to hear! Well I started this thread becouse the people I know who are FF fans all prefer VII or X. (allways knew they were wrong but the would'nt accept it!)
