You mean like that alarm that was adding onto someones house? I saw that on the news. Kids avoided the house as it absoloutly murdered their ears whereas it didn't effect adults.

It's just a high pitched noise. Imagine when you have to take the ear examinations to test your hearing, and the higher sounds are basically the new ringtone. Apparently, adults can't hear it, as has been said.

I'm 21 and I had absolutely no problems hearing that ringtone. I could hear as far as up to 19000 Hz when I was 16 though <,<.
