I think I might have to watch both endings a couple more times to figure this out.
Kingdom Hearts (I):
- I loved the idea that Riku turned "good" at the last moment and Sora and Kairi was reunited until the sandy island took Kairi away. The First Ending was sad but obviously uncomplete, signaling KHII.
- What made me cry the most was when Kairi saw the Pao-Pu (sp?) fruit in the Secret Cave. It was an easy way of saying that Sora loved Kairi without actually saying it to her.
- All in all, the first one was better because it connected all the characters with hope to show another story.
Kingdom Hearts II:
- (SPOILER)First I gotta say that fighting with Riku in the end was phenomenal. How cool is it to save the world with your best friend, eh? The way Riku risked his life for Sora was classic. Riku was still kinda depressed on how he was always doomed in darkness, but what better than his best friend to cheer him up? Sora and Riku's friendship would be unbreakable after this.
- (SPOILER)I thought it was interesting how the "Door of Light" opened up just before Sora and Riku gave up hope on that beach. Then they zoomed to Destiny Islands like Superman! How sweet.. At first, I thought that Riku seemed lonely when Sora reunited with Donald and Goofy, but (SPOILER)Mickey Mouse reunited with Riku so all was well. lol
- The One thing that made me cry (again ><) was when Sora explored the Secret Cave and spotted the other Pao-Pu fruit that Kairi drew on the wall for Sora. It was like saying, "I love you too."
- (SPOILER)Back to the beginning. The only thing that bothered me in the KHII ending was Mickey Mouse's note. It partially gave a clue to the next objective in the story (KHIII) but I wanted to know what it said. That's why I liked the KH ending better. The KH ending didn't leave the audience saying, "What did it say?!" but "OOoh, I wonder what's going to happen next?" Now King Mickey's note is going to bother me until I know what it said!
Well, that's what I think.
