My art stuff. Caution: Wierd

Okay, due to popular demand from many people both on and off EoFF, im posting my surviving artwork that is currently in the house..

Yeah, the earliest one is the "Gap Generator Design", in 2002 (fifth form, drawn while bored in class) and Spacestation was done partially on the bus ride home a few days later. The "Fortress of Immortality" was drawn for my story (Final Fantasy Advanced, some of you might know of it) back when I still had the very first finished copy printed out. Just as in the story saga, it transforms into the "Airship Immortal". The fortress is a face-on view while the airship is top down, for comparisons.

The Biocastle was actually one of my art projects in school. The goal was that we had this thing caled a plumbob or something hanging from the ceiling (looked like a crude floating castle to me) and an image was projectd onto the wall behind it..we had to sketch the hanging thing and the pattern and integrate them...I drew th thing a a little futureistic castle, and the pattern looked like blades to me, and eentually it trailed off into spines ,and then tentacles and so on. The premise is that the castle has some like form thats mutated and burst out of it, going so far as to infest the orbiting nearby station..

The "Art Project" was me defying orders again xD The plan was to sketch this art, it was some kinda rocky thing, volcanos in the background, a river, and a huge fish hook sticking up in the middle (Or was it a fern?) I saw it as a dragon thing, and so I drew that...also the "floating thing" was to be used again, as a silhouette, so I did...again, castle style xD (Got points for creativity..)

Although my art was always somewhat mediocre compared to the rest (Im useles at shading etc, blending colours al that, and im only good with pencil..) mine was always different, heh. My mate was similar in that he modified stuff to his own view, but more or less stuck to the plan (And is much much better than me)

An early concept trying to incorporate the Gap Generator from Red Alert into one of the castles...Zannith and I had a HUGE RA obsession then...still kinda do, with the Tesla stuff

I was thinking of a space station design when I did this...partially inspired by one of Zannith's works.

The Fortress of Immortality (2004 Remake)
In FFA, this is the base of operations for the villain. After being defeated, the good guys aquire it. Transforms into the Airship Immortal. After I drew the Immortal, I redid the Fortress, making changes to show parts that transform etc..

The Airship Immortal (2004)
The airship form of the Fortress of Immortality. Used by the good guys as their next (and final) airship. Bloody HUGE it is. Inspired by the Airship Invincible (Which makes an apearance in the story xD)

Akrad's Castle (Original: 2003. Remake:2004)
heh, I forgot to take the picture of this during the day, took it at night, hence the darkness (the light of the flash reflects off the graphite, so no flash). Anyway, this was originally one of my brothers crap drawings, trying to impress me with his own castles..I saw a design and did a remake ..he was overjoyed as you would expect. Redid it along with the Fortress in 2004, with "higher quality"

So yeah, those are the the pencil stuff that have survived throughout the years...I drew a wicked fighter jet thing that gets launched from the Fortress during some battle in the story, but I gave that to Zannith, hence no picture..

Oh wow, those are great. The images remind me alot of the anime Gunbuster. The alien ships look like your sketchs. But those are amazing, you have a good imagination.

A bit of work on the line quality would help the understanding of some of the structures that you have in your drawings. I can see some toning to justify the darks and the greys which is nice. Overall, not too bad.

Setzer: Yeah, ive never been that good with the line quality. Ive done a few castles using a ruler, but it doesnt like like actual art though. A lot of the trouble I have is measuring the actual wings etc to be symmetrical, im really picky about the symmetry thing. Since I can only work in black and white, and with pencil, the shading is something I'll need to improve on.

If I find my other artwork (Which is vastly inferior and mainly crap) or draw more stuff, I'll post it here

I thought the biocastle was a big upside down triangle-shaped, heart-like formation of veins. I'm sorry, I have an extremely tiny force of imagination. :/

Many books and many online tutorials can be found in libraries or all over internet for tips about how you can draw and such, perhaps do a google search to help you out on this one?

Hmm, If I decide to get into drawing again, I just might do that, thing is, I'll need to go out and buy pencils, paper etc..

Ive wanted to draw alternate angles for the Airship Immortal for a long time now, but it just seems so daunting, having to get it to coincide with the top down view and all..

Eden-like thing

Yeah, I recently found this in a box, quite an early picture, and clearly inspired by Eden a bit, although I was trying to outdo my mates Eden design picture at the time...and failed, lol

Sorry about the crap quality photo, but crunched up paper and annoying lighting got in the way..

I kinda like the little city under the dome thing that I started on but never really implemented. I might try something like this again sometime..I suspect this is a 2001-2002 drawing, as it lacks the amount of detail that my later stuff had (Which still wasnt that much, but alot more compared to this)

EDIT: Looking at this compared to the others kinda shows that I go a lot more creative and so on later on, I only wish I still had that fighter jet I drew, I considered it to be the best thing Id ever drawn. I gave it to my mate though..
