Fat kids are harder to Kidnap.
He is more calculating than Odin.
He's actually based on an entirely different culture, but no matter.
And yeah, I suppose he'd be the 'insta-death' summon for this game, like Odin was.
Actually he's probably more of an FFVIII Gilgamesh (i.e. sometimes he sucks ass). Can anyone actually be bothered paying him, at tops, 200 gil?

Ask the people that actually bother to pay Yojimbo money. The NTSC and NTSC-J players will murder you if you belittled their costs. The PAL and Int. players would just laught at you.
So, yes, people pay him more than 200 gil. Regularly. If you want him to perform anything better than Kozuka, then you pay him around 1000 gil until he performs it at a lower cost.
Yojimbo looks NOTHING like Odin.
Owen made this sig. R.I.P.
In PAL if you pay him 300gil he still does Zanmato 25% of the time. Pay him 1100 and he does it about 35%. So hes like an Odin which kills bosses too.
my opinion is that he's worth paying...he's helped me a lot throughout the game....

What eiko guy is getting at is that Yojimbo is akin to that of Odin in the sense that it isn't based on his physical apparence, but rather based on his actions and abilities as a summon - the instant death attack, more than anything else, which Odin has always been famous for as a summon.Originally Posted by Sora!

So your saying there abilities are similiar?
Yes, both have an insta-death attack. Recent installments portray Odin as a samurai-esque summon anyway, not to mention his special attack always being called 'Zantetsuken'. Of course, since FFX was more Japanese-themed, it makes sense they'd add a twist to the insta-death summon of the game. I don't really use Yojimbo that much; I'm too lazy to go Gil farming, and I don't have much left to do on my game anyway (NTSC...).
And his entrance is badass.
Yes they are similar except that Odin is more useful than Yojimbo, plus you don't have to pay him.
Yojimbo actually has an insta-death attack like Odin?!?!
*wonders where celestial_dream have been throughout the whole game*
No, seriously! He does?! Myabe cos I never EVER use Yojimbo. I may not be poor in terms of gil in FFX, but I'm definitely not RICH! And I've seen ppl paying him thousands of gil, but the enemies didn't die or anything... so....
Odin, in my opinion, tops Yojimbo a lot more. PLUS he rides on a horse *grins*

I am hardly to perform Zanmato till now, sigh! But, it is ok and fine, I feel delighted because that Yojimbo is so useful especially when I am facing a boss which is curse my aeon. When I defeat Yunalesca, I am using his Wakizashi for 9999 each turn, and I won (THX to GOD). Even when Yojimbo got cursed, he could done several times 9999 damage! (as long as you pay him enough gil, right?)
