Yeah, what Cl_out said. I do not eat anything that's been on my kitchen floor.

My Alex is always eating things from off the floor. He's just turned three, and he still does it. Yesterday at the park, he picked up a handful of wood chippings and squelchy mud. I stopped him before he threw it, thank goodness. He's not a badly behaved child; he just hasn't grasped the concept that things on the floor are dirty and should not be touched.

If his food drops on the floor, he always tries to salvage it and becomes quite upset when I put it in the bin. :/

Yeah, if it can be washed. Let's say that I dropped a fresh apple on the floor. Sure, I can wash it since it hasn't been bitten into. Now, let's say I dropped a bagel with the spread side on the floor. Now, would I be able to wash that and eat it afterwards? No way.

In any case, depending on what I had dropped, I can simply wash it and eat it, or I just toss it in the garbage.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

As long as it's dry so big chunks of nasty can't stick to it, then yeah. Like black orb said, it's not like we don't already have some bacteria in us ... the digestive tract is strong, put it to good use!

no matter how important something might be (ie. a giant meteor is in the sky and threatening the planet) you can always just stop in at the Golden Saucer and gamble on some dodos running around a track.

Floor food is a great way to build up your immunities. Besides you get enough dirt and whatnot everyday from various other activities. Floor food is quite tame in comparison.

well, i won't chisel off 3 year old gum from the ground and start chewing on it. but i would most likely be found picking up a dropped piece of fruit and re-wash it before eating it...
