I actually read most of the Manga beforehand. (Less filler, of course, now that it's all published.)
I actually found a Japanese volume of one of the Buu stories...(right when it hatches.) I just love how Toriyama designs his monsters. (Nothing short of pretty creative.) They're so much thinner than the English volumes...
