Juist avoid anything that comes your way basically. It's okay if you get hit by one or two birds, but no more than that

Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Yeah, out of all the sigils you had to get, i think this was probably the toughest for me. (Although i haven't tried for Kimahri's yet.) I wanted to pull my hair out..... it took me 2 hours of continuous racing for me to finally win. I tried holding R1 R2 L1 L2, but it really didnt help me at all. eventually the ballons will line up in your favor... its just pretty much luck.
w8 maybe u people got exactly 0.0.0 maybe u should get 4 example
14 ballons
1 birds that hit u
a time of 36.4 like that
so 36.4 - (14*3) + (1 * 3) = -2.6.0
but it wont show like that ^^^^ it will still show 0.0.0
maybe that has something to help u guys...
Huh i guess I will try again since I was pretty close.
warriorboy && battlingbard.
I have Sun Sigil now.
When I first tried that thing I got like 26 seconds. Then I got 3 seconds! So I'm, like, "This is gonna be cake!" I just fooled myself trying to get 0 second the next 124 try. It gets pretty fustrating so play every 10 races and take a break or your controller will face the wrath of being thrown onto the floor.
Some advice. Staying behind the Trainer does nothing to help you avoid bird. It all skill. You may think you avoid a bird but then it's evil twin come next and attack BOOM it got you. Next 5 try, I avoid all bird until the camera shifts 2nd time then I get hit... when Tidus and Chocobo recover, another bird takes action. So.. it fustrating.
Try to get all the balloons in the first section of the race, where no birds come at you, take advantage of it. Then camera shift 1st time, GO TO THE RIGHT! Dunno why but you avoid lot of bird and gain lots of balloon this way. But don't go crazy, because the Chocobo will. There will be times when the Chocobo won't let you control it for some reason so be on guard.
When you get Sun Sigil you can upgrade Tidus Caladbolg (sp?) to full potential. It awesome.

You also need a good start. More often than not, the first balloon will start off nearer to you than the chocobo trainer (nearly said pokemon trainer XD), which means you're most likely to get 3, 4 or 5 balloons before you turn the corner. If you don't, chances are you won't be getting 0.0.
Staying behind the trainer is a bunch of bologni. If you do that, the trainer will get the ballons instead of you (as well as the birds, but you need to collect the balloons here). What I do is I stay a little to the left of a balloon I'm about to get, and when a bird flies my way, stay there until the bird is close, then turn left to narrowly miss the bird and be on track for the balloon. You'll have to do this around 10/12 times, depending on the number of balloons you got at the beginning.
Wait a minute... Determined? Me?
