I'm was going to go preorder it soon so i'm glad i found this today on the GameStop page!
Nice, the DVD sounds just like the one you get with FFX and it just cost the normal price of a PS2 game. Maybe because this one comes in a steel box its $60.
Since i am a FF geek i will be picking up the special edition.
What i dont get is that the strategy guide will also be available in a 'special edition' too.
FF 12 - $50 reg, $60 special
FF 12 guide - $20 reg, $30 special
Thats $90 for me... WOWZERS!![]()

Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Yah what's up with that??
the concept art part appeals me but the rest aren't necessary for me. $60 O_o
if your spending $50 anyways on the game, then basicly you get the extra stuff for $10 nd thats really not that much.
personally i was mad that North America didnt get the special edition of FF7: AC that Japan did, but it was worth around $300 and probably wouldnt have sold very well in NA.
Those don't really sound like great extras, better than nothing i guess
Nothing I can't easily download.
Yeah, somebody else pre-ordered this for me as a favor, and they got the special edition without asking me... And since it was a favor I couldn't be mad. But the extras don't excite me, and they'll just be on the internet for free within 3 seconds of the game's release.Originally Posted by roto13-ness

There's already a thread about this, but yeah the case looks pretty sweet and it'd be cool to have that other stuff and not feel guilty for downloading it.
What's in a special edition guide anyway?
Can't afford it... arg! *Goes to kill housemate*
