Please say someone else has. Please say I'm not the only one. I'm going insane, I tells ya, INSANE! I've been playing it for the past two weeks and NO ONE I've talked to has even HEARD of it! Please say I'm not nuts...

Which FF Character Are You?
:magus: Long, funny-coloured hair? Check. Bad choice of clothing? Check. Good/Bad complex? Check. Hmm... they're right. I AM Kuja.
No you're not mental, I've got the ROM myself. I've yet to play it properly though.
There is no signature here. Move along.
Ahh... Have you tried out all the different characters?

Live A Live is a great game, and it's really too bad it was never released in the West. My favorite parts are the Bakumatsu and Old West chapters. The former is steeped in ninja lore and a subverted version of nineteenth-century Japan, and the latter is a faithful homage to spaghetti westerns. That's how I like to take my RPGs--with ninjas and cowboys.
The Bakumatsu chapter is also remarkable for the freedom of decision you have when it comes to killing people; the protagonist, Oboromaru, keeps track of how many people he's killed, and you get different rewards depending on whether you massacre everyone in the castle or play it stealthy and avoid killing anyone. There's also a reward for just not killing any of the women. Live A Live is crawling with unique gameplay aspects such as these, and for being made in 1994, it was clearly ahead of its time.
LIVE-A-LIVE!
I really love that game. Finished it about... 7 times?
Live-A-Live rules. Roshi's Kung Fu Chapter and Pogo's prehistoric chapter were my favourites.
I'm just glad I'm not alone any more...
I've tried out all of the chapters now and I can't seem to get my head around the Bakumatsu chapter... My favourites are the Old West and Prehistoric - good old picture-speak.

Ive just looked it up on Google. It sounds interesting.
Live A Live
Isn't this the game where you play in a bunch of different eras, and one chapter had like a video-game thing? I vaguely remember this. *searches personal ROM archive*
Sigless
Wow - I've started a little phenomenon here, ain't I? Well... personally I think a DS release would be... hmm... but I think they should definitely think about making it for anywhere outside of Japan. Go you crazy cavemen/cowboy/robot things!

On a side note... The credits of the real end(beat Odio, let Orsted live, blah blah), when everything fades black, except the final credits, I was playing around with layers, and then (when I removed a layer, I believe layer 2), I saw a silhouette of the Samurai Castle of the Bakumatsu Chapter! Anyone have any ideas on this, how this could happen?
