Well, it's kind of a cliche answer, but basically multimedia these days. I've been trying to learn a lot about HDTV lately since I just bought one. Just the way all the technology works--interlaced picture, progressive, how many millions of colors can be displayed, etc. I don't really understand how it works, and it's hard to believe somebody was able to invent all of this stuff and actually comprehend it.
Other marvels of human engineering that really wow me are dams and nanomachines. Considering modern technology, dams are much easier to build than they were in the past--not to say theyr'e easy to construct now. But I've seen videos of dams being built from 50 to 100 years ago, and it's crazy that they were able to build such massive structures with such ancient technology. And nanomachines, well...that's some tiny [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img].
