My first ff was IX. Before I didn't know about ff, but a cousin gave it to me for my birthday when I was 8 years old or so. I didn't care about the cover, but the title intrigued me. Thus began my love for IX!
VIII and I'm so very glad it was
...Geddit?
The first I ever played was FF I, years and years ago, but I found it too hard at the time and got rid of it.
Many many years later an ex-girlfriend told me I had to play FF IX, and it totally hooked me. I'm now going back to beat all of them in order.![]()
ff7 was the first one i played and ever since that day i have been cursed with not being able to stop playing
cause it was awsome
how i got it was my friend left it at my house and when i called her she said i could play it untill she came back
the first FF i played was FF7 around my cousins house. id also seen FF8 and 9 around my cousins house. id hadnt played on them much but i thought they looked really good so i started collecting them. the first i owned was FFX. i got that when i got my PS2. then i started collecting all of the others and i now own all of the ones in the main series apart from FF3 and i also have FFTA.

Final Fantasy X is my first. Once i played it i bought some of the older ones (IX and VIII) but X/ IX still hold strong and my favourite game in the universe!!
My first was FFIX, and i loved every second of it.
FF 1 when i was like...7....my mom loved it too and we shared the file
i think my frist final fantasy was ff6 or ff1 i know it was one of those...

my first was Final Fantasy VII, and I still think it's the best. but over the last 9 or so years (jesus christ), i've played most of the other ones, and I can see why some square traditionalists don't like 7 for its departures from the series.
in my opinion though, it was 6 that started off the departures. it was much darker and more technological than 5. FF7 just carried this on. something needed to be changed anyway, because the first 5 Final Fantasy games basically took place in very similar game worlds. now every game world is different, and there's more risk of people not liking it, but at least they're trying new things.
