The first ff game I played was FF7. Before then I never heard of FF before, but after playing it I loved the final fantasy series ever since.

Final Fantasy 9, but as I was a wickle child, I got stuck on the second black waltz and gave up! I couldn't work out that he would attack with magic if you attacked with magic...

FFVI when it was FF3 on the SNES, back in 1994. <3.
Then FFIV when it was FF2 on the SNES.
Well... My sister played FF1 on the NES and would give me the controller but I was to little to comprehend it. =/
So FFVI! =D
Final Fantasy 7 was my first. All my friends were playing it, i remember watching my friends playing it and at first i thought it was boring, a few weeks later i was hooked!
"Everyone's always in favour of saving Hitler's brain. But when you put it in the body of a great white shark, ooohh! Suddenly you've gone too far!"
My first FF was Final Fantasy 8 i got as a Christmas present...
how pants were you at your first final fantasy. i gotta say i was pretty poo i didnt have a clue what i was doing but i loved it anyway. lol.
I breifly played 7 some years ago in Ireland, for like 20 minutes, but I dont consider that my first. FF8 was my first because I got the guide, bought it instead of renting it and I just loved everything about it.
It seems to be that the first FF you play is your favourite, thats certainly the case for me and lots of others i've spoken too. I suppose its the whole nostalgic value. Is this the case for everyone here?

Final Fantasy 9 (the choice was between 8 and 9 at the time and thankfully I chose 9)
Final Fantasy VI. Haven't finisihed it, yet I still say that this is one of the best games I have ever played.
