You can get them by Luck (YOUR Luck not the CHARACTER'S Luck). You just have to choose which one (chest), if you're lucky, you get the item but if you aren't, you get nothing. I didn't know about this, I can't be bothered to try it, maybe someone can.

I've also heard similar things, though I've never actually opened them correctly before. Meh. I can just 'warp' around the Sphere Grid manually anyway.

its pointless. like dodging lightning or chasing after butterflies. Although unfortunately those two do have uses.

    With thanks to Owen Macwere

Its only starting up, which means its not world class- but hey whats the harm in having a look. (or registering!) The only way its gonna get better is if more people join up.

Its got FF, art, writings, riddles, general chat and GFX battles. And each of these topics we are hoping to develop to its fullest.

Its not a catchy address either (free to run) so just save the link into your favourites for easy access

You can't. It's completely and 100% random. If it occured before, then it was a fluke.

If someone had done it before not randomized, they would have said something and offered a guide, or some evidence. As far as can be seen, there is nothing like this in the game at all, and the Treasure chests are completely random or empty (empty at random).

And no, this is nowhere mentioned in ANY reliable FFX guides on the game.

This is like LotRish on Ash Terrain; no one does it for a reason.

yes it is possible, but you'd have to be uber lucky. if u choose a chest with a fiend in it, the others disappear. but if u choose the rite one, the rest stay so u can choose from them. u can get a variety of items from spheres to rare items (like doors to tomorrows) and even some armour. however, there is a set order in which u recieve these items, and it will reset if u pick a wrong chest or if u visit a save sphere. e.g say turnover was the 3rd prize and u had got the 1st 2 but got a fiend on ur 3rd try, then it wud reset and u wud get the 1st item again. here is the list of available items and the order in which you will recieve them:
    1. lv4 key sphere
    2. defending bracer (2 "...proof" abilities for status effects for auron)
    3. turnover (magic counter and either counterattack or evade and counter. weapon for wakka)
    4. lv3 key sphere X2
    5. defending armlet (2 "...proof" abilities for status effects for kimahri)
    6. friend sphere X2
    7. lv4 key sphere
    8. phantom ring (any 3 "...eater" abilities)
    9. cactuar wizard (half MP cost for lulu)
    10. warmonger (not sure on this one )
    11. teleport sphere X2
    12. warp sphere X99

btw, the correct chest is totally randomized each times, that's why there is no set strategy for which is the correct combination. i think there is one correct chest in a section at a time though.

Why do you imprison your saviour?

um... who needs 99 warp spheres?? really... its to much trouble for the prize. you can get around the sphere grid easier ways if thats your motivation. i remember reading a really in depth faq on this once, and deciding it was way to luck based to even bother.
