Drachma (Skies of Arcadia) - He left me in a desert. His story was sad and he's kind of an overall usefull character, but he left us in a desert! Nothing good ever happens in a desert, except for this time. Belleza was awesome or whatever her name was, ya know the hot red head tactiction for the Valuans.
Tails (Sonic 2) - I lost the emerald so many times because of him.
Xelha (Baiten Kaitos) - Stupid bubbly fairy, that I was pretty much forced to use in that one fight.
Collete (Tales of Symphonia) - Bubbly and useless. At least she doesn't stay the female lead for long.
Rikku (Final Fantasy X-2) - She was better in the first one, but she is very annoying in this one.

Ah, I think I see the problem. See, Zell and Wakka are the funniest characters in FF. And they beat the crap out of most of the others in terms of charisma, too. They're also among the very few people who don't have severe issues, which is a plus.

As for non FF characters, I'd say the whole cast of Magna Carta.
