FFVIII Card problem

Hi there. I only discovered FF8 late lasy year and have completed it several times. However I had always neglected the card game. So I started again and am playing the card game.

I am having major difficulties manipulating the rules. I am trying to abolish random from Dollet, but having major problems. I accidently spread Elemental to Timber. I managed to abolish Elementtal from Dollet, but when I went to try get rid of random, it was spreading Elemental again.

Any idea's how to get over this?.

There are a couple of ways to remove random

1) Go to the Queen of cards and ask for the rule to be removed.
2) Go to a location where random is not one of thier 'normal' rules...ie: Balamb Garden.

Going from one to the other a few times can get you all the way back to basic rules...except in space.
