Are black mages inspired by Star Wars characters?

Black mages not = everything. I think it's possible, although more likely it was an arbitrary decision.

EDIT: that is they co-exist. this is more like a rhetoric question to myself. IMO = no. actually it questions technology replacing magic as better, in which i say (back to the sentence above)...NO.
