No its not random, of the 4 different battles in the training center (1, 2 or 3 grats or a t-rexaur) I can tell which it will be by the camera angle at start. It is always the same for each enemy.
I just did that, when Zell lets on that everyone is from garden when Seifer holds Delling hostage. I was like NO DONT SAY IT YOU IDIOT!You know you've played FFVIII too much when you shout out to the tv directed to the characters not to do something because you know the outcome.
