Thread: I'm planning a CGI TV series for kids

Well, I'll have to start saving up... Perhaps if I make a video game RPG (a mix of Kingdom Hearts and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance), and it becomes a big hit, perhaps I can do this. I'm also planning to work with a legendary filmmaker, such as Steven Spielberg, who created the Animaniacs.
Is that your final answer?

Better start saving now then, and hope you can get some windfall from a dead relative that happens to be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Because that's the kind of money you're looking at.

I dunno, I just don't have a lot of respect for any work that's made almost entirely (or entirely) of someone elses characters. Especially crossovers.

Exactly. I'm truly sorry, but if you want to make a hit, you have to have some innovation to it. This will never fly for two reasons:
1.) Not only are you looking for rights to other trademarked characters, but more specifically their babies, their main selling characters (albeit the reason you want them in the first place.) They'll never sell the rights to them, or at least not cheap.
2.) While TV seems to lack innovation lately, each show fills a niche. This seems like more fo a mish-mash of an amalgamate of storylines, with no cohesion whatsoever.

I know I'm being harsh, and I'm sorry for that, but if you want to drum up some support, I'd recommend going back to the drawing board, doing some heavy thinking and coming back with something original. Your heart's in the right place, really, it is. Just...think for yourself, as opposed to siphoning off of fanfics.

It WILL have some originality. Real events in history will influence the story.

Then it'd probably be more prudent to charicaturize the people as opposed to the current route of action.

The story takes influence from the Street Fighter cartoon of the 90s. They fight international crime and terrorism. It is also a musical, educational comedy, like Animaniacs.

Yes, and perhaps I might have these characters to tell people that drugs are bad for you. In fact, the voice actress for one of the characters, Rachael Leigh Cook (Tifa Lockhart), once starred in a "This is your brain on drugs" commercial.

I'm glad you're a super millionaire, cuz you wouldn't find the money for this otherwise.

Oh Jesus CHRIST. You just dug up an unforboding memory for me in fifth grade. We were in health class watching this cheesy video about how drugs are bad and and it had Alf, Garfield, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Smurfs, and a bunch of other crap I can't remember right now. That had to be the cheesiest thing that ever existed.

But it DOES spread a good message to kids. Never use drugs.
