Thread: Censored sprites

    Censored sprites

Just a little side-by-side comparison of the sprites that were censored for the American release.

I can't seem to find the uncensored Siren sprite. Undress her with your mind. (EDIT: Thanks, Zeromus. )

Notice how the censored sprites are all women? Oppression... >_>

Yeah, America just wasn't ready to see Goddess' breasts yet.

Or Siren's behind, for that matter.

Yes, you could. I didn't notice the rest of them.

Yet strangely this one is still here.

The sprites work either way. Though yes, it is funny that they edited the smoking.

Well i don´t think that would be a problem i mean sure they can cover Sirens ass and all...but the paint picture i mean it´s already covered.
Plus i think that when they´re fighting monsters they won´t even know it...unless they pay to much attention to detail like us:rolleyes2

The Playstation version has the uncensored sprites.

They'll probably cover them up a little so it gets an 'E10+' rating or whatever.

The sprites were altered on account of Nintendo, not Square.

    Or a 'T' rating

Hm. Well, knowing Nintendo, I'd think they'd at least want it so it would be more suitable for all audiences. (Less some parent go 'I don't want my child playing a Teen game! Oh noes!!!1one!)

Of course, it could get a teen rating anyway.

Y'know, after I thought about it, with all this speculation we have, I'm pissed that it hasn't been released yet. The suspense is starting to tear me apart.
