Here's a rumor going around about the ps3 that it wont allow you to use any used games. So you can't borrow a game from a friend to see if you like it, or just rent it out. I guess if this happens and you buy a game you don't like, it's just dead.

how would it know if it was used and wouldn't that mean you could only play each game once, whoever told you that is dummer than a blonde!

i agree that as long as they sell well and continue to be good they should keep on coming. eventually there will be different people working on them but it could be for the best and i doubt it will be a bad thing if that happens. it depends. i think they should not only make new ones but it might be good to make remakes and sequels if they are good. because it would be pretty hard if in the future there is an FF fan who has FF XVIII or something and want to get FF1 and 2 and stuff but cant because there so old and rare.

I know the different games are independent from one another, but it would be nice to have the last one tie them up, show a connection or something. I think that would be uber-cool.

And I am all for remakes and sequels.

I'd say anywhere from XV to XXV at the most.

It wont last much longer. Im guessing around XVII or XVIII. Then it will either get repetitive or downright ridiculous, in terms of gameplay. They try to change the system with every FF, and eventually it will go too far and BAM, there goes that.

hmm i'm with the opinion that the series will soon become stale and unoriginal with square-enix churing out so many different ff games and sequels that people will become disintersted in the whole franchise.

They'll be adding more MMORPG to their collection.

Some People will continue to play them until they die.

And even the compagny will change hands to someone else...

I always imagined them going up to the day I die but I'm not sure that will be possible. I will continue to by them provided I can play them on whatever system I have but yea it with time it may go stale. Then when SE decide to throw in the towel they will make something new (ie....erm....KH5) or something. Then as consoles develope and advance they will make remakes of the games with impressive covers . When SE decide to stop making FF it should go out with a bang! (and I dnt mean somthing that will literally blow ur playstation or whatever it is to smithereens!) I hope it goes up to XX something but from at the moment I can only see it making its way to XVII.
