Default How do you get Shiva?

Hey Everyone I've restarted my game because of some technical difficulties. So since I restarted I figure why not get Shiva it shouldn't be that hard. YEAH RIGHT! I've been walking around Wals (Walze) castle and couldn't find a thing. Plus I've been going on the eyesonff Final Fantasy V walktrough and it dosen't tell me how to get Shiva. So can someone help me? :fencing:

Thanks Polaris for the Awesome Avy and Sig!

You know Walrus/Wals/Walus/the water town where you went into that tower? There's a tower there that you can go up and fight Shiva to obtain her as an Esper.

Since I'm so tired right now, just use this.

in walz castle (the name may be slightly different in your version but it begins with W. walz is the town near the water crystal.) you can go in one of the waterfalls. look around everywhere (apart from the dungeon with harpys.) and there should be secret passages that lead to the place you fight shiva. shiva isnt very hard and i easily beat here without the fire 2 spell.

True, but if you want to beat her quickly, Fire 2 is a must

Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

If you want to beat her VERY quickly then get Ifrit. If you want to beat her VERY VERY quickly then break a fire rod

It's ironic that getting Ifrit will help you get Shiva, but getting Shiva will help you in getting Ifrit.

    That's fitting, not ironic.

Yes, but which one is better to get first: Shiva or Ifrit?

Shiva is the more useful earlier on but is harder to get. Ifrit is easier and about the same in usefulness as shiva. The earlier you get either the better. It takes (if i remember) four shiva summons to kill Ifrit, But only two Ifrit summons to kill Shiva... you decide
