Dear Friends mostly has good songs that stay true to the original versions, although there are a few I don't particulary like there, such as "Critter Tripper Fritter" (I know it's supposed to be funny, but that's too much for me!), "As I Feel, You Feel" (the music is very beautiful, but the speech sounds quite off). The others are enjoyable, though, especially Lenna's Theme, "Pirates Ahoy!", The Land Unknown and Dear Friends. I like the references to Finland in the CD, such as "Waltz Suomi" ("Waltz Finland" in English), the lyrics sang in Sami and the Lappish chanting in some of the songs.
As for the actual soundtrack, that one has lots of great songs. Here's a list of songs that I like on the OST: Ahead on Our Way, A Presentiment, Four Valiant Hearts, Lenna's Theme, The Battle, Victory's Fanfare, Requiem, "Pirates Ahoy!", Tenderness in the Air, The Fierce Battle, The Dragon Spreads its Wings, Royal Palace, Nostalgia (my favorite song on the OST, it's very sad), Reminiscence, Musica Machina, "My Home, Sweet Home", The Airship, The Evil Lord Exdeath, The Four Warriors of Dawn, Battle with Gilgamesh (this is excellent too), Unknown Lands, "As I Feel, You Feel", The Land Unknown, The Book of Sealings, Searching the Light, The Decisive Battle, The Last Battle, The Silent Beyond, Dear Friends, Final Fantasy, A New Origin and The Prelude.
If you're talking about the song that plays on the forest when (FFV Spoilers)Galuf makes a flower field around the party at the end of FFV and during (FFVIII Spoilers)the big SeeD party video at Balamb Garden while FFVIII's ending credits are playing, that song is called "Final Fantasy" (at least in FFV), and it plays in a lot of FFs, such as FF1, FF3-9, FFVII AC and FFXII.Originally Posted by Shin Omega
