final fantasy XI websites
what are some of the best final fantasy XI websites i just got final fantasy XI today and which web-sites do you recommend.....and i also need to no how to make good money so i can get a wand.....i know this sounds stupid but im not going out to fight till i get one lol
Talk to a gate guard and get signet before you fight monsters and you'll get crystals to sell. Crystals sell fast and are good gil at low levels. Farming monsters outside town is really your only viable gil source at low levels. Consider farming crawlers when you're strong enough - silk stacks are some nice gil. Crafting takes gil to make gil, and doesn't pay out untill the end (kinda like a college education - costs a fortune up front but you hope it'll let you make more money later and no real benefits till completion). Fishing might be that battle-free gil source you're looking for. If you can scrounge up enough gil for a fishing rod and some little worms or insect paste, you can catch moat carp in any town. On quetzalcoatl moatcarp are 5-10,000 gil a stack. Fishing is 100% profit, but the cost is time and unless you're a relatively rare enthusiast, boredom. You might not have fun fishing, but you will make gil.
Do you have a mule character in each city? If so, have you considered playing the AH for gil? What you do is see what you can afford and compare prices in each city. If silk stacks are 10k in san doria but 12k in windurst, you're profiting 2k per stack. Are there items you can buy from an NPC that cost more at the auction house? Spells are a strong possibility here. Players are lazy. Lazy players are a nice source of gil. You walk to the spell npc, buy a scroll that's cheap and mark it up on the AH. Rarely, an item will be selling on the AH for LESS than it sells to an NPC - I remember the Sneak scroll being this way for a long time on Quetz. I made good gil buying out the AH and selling to the NPC for small but instant profit. Probably sucked to be an up and coming level 20 Whm in windurst at the time, but a Taru's gotta do what a Taru's gotta do.
