hmmm... I shall give it a go. You have the 9 places on the grid thing right.
I dont know bout the rules except that open rule is my favourite and random is one I hate. Someone else can explain rules. Just say you have a card that says:
A 1
5 4 and the other person puts a card that says 9 5
2 9
and the other person puts his card in the top right of the grid, that will block off the numbers 1 and 5 on his card because they are facing the walls of the grid. If you put your card directly underneath that it will block off the numbers 4 and A...BUT the number A is the highest number in the game and is equal to 10, this would then flip the opponents card. However the numbers 5 and two on ur card are still left open to being flipped (2 is a low number). If your opponent put down a card underneath yours saying
6
4 5 and he puts it underneath your card it will flip your card because 6 is higher
2 than the 2 on your card.
Does that help?
Thank Sapphiresea for the Siggy! :kaolove:

Marginally the same game. A few differences but nothing important.
Depending on where they're placed, the numbers on the cards battle each other
(i.e. if they're facing one another).
As for rules... You might want to get a walkthrough on that, but I'll try.
Open: You can see your opponent’s cards before he plays them.
Closed: You can't.
Random: The cards you have in your hand are selected for you randomly.
Same: If two or more numbers facing the opponent's cards are the same, your card will win.
Plus: If two or more numbers facing the opponent's cards add up to the same sum, your card will win.
Same/Plus: Both same and plus are in effect.
Same Wall: The outside border of the grid has an assumed value of "A"; this is only helpful if you're already playing with same or plus.
Sudden Death: If there is a draw, a new match is started with any cards over turned by the other player in their hand.
Thanks you guys it helps thanks alot

Why explain it to him/her? Read the Triple Triad guide in the Tutorials section. That explains it very well and even supplies pictures.
To my knowledge (or maybe i didnt read it closely enough) the game tutorial never actually says that the number on one side has to be bigger than the number on the side of the card its adjacent to. I was confused with that for a while (i thought it had to be the same or something)Originally Posted by Xurts
But like i said maybe i just didnt read it properly
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
I'm sure it does. I've never read the whole thing though, just the part where it explains the Plus rule.Originally Posted by blackmage_nuke
