Default WhY ArE LuNaRiAnS NaMeS SpElLeD LiKe ThIs?

How come Lunarians have their names spelt with Capital letters in the middle of their names? Is it a Lunarian thing or something?

I guess so. You gotta admit it looks cool though. At least on everyone's favorite mop.

    Yeah.

Except when there's L's and I's in someone's name. It gets confusing with the lowercase and uppercase letters.

I always assumed it was just a way of putting an emphasis on certain letters.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.

Probably inspired by names from Superman (JorEl, KalEl etc.)
There is no signature here. Move along.

must be a lunarian language or something

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

The Japanese names have double vowel sounds, and I guess FFIV's original translators thought FuSoYa was an ideal abridgment of the highly literal romanization of "Fuusuuya." I'd have just gone with Fusuya, personally.

You have to imagine Lunarians probably can't spell in the english language too well.

Most likely Square was trying to have people emphasize certain letters and sounds in order to 'talk' like these Lunarians may have. Or maybe it's another conspiracy of Square...

They're trying to imitate Chinese names, each syllable in a name begins with a capital letter, and each name contains two or three syllables.
