Adel battle

I wonder if someone can help me... I'm at the start of disc four and trying to fight Adel/Rinoa. The problem is whenever Adel casts an attack along the lines of 'Energy Bomber' my computer freezes and I have to shut the entire thing down and start again.
I am playing the PC version on Windows XP. Does anyone have any idea why it's doing this and how I can stop it?

EDIT- oh, nevermind I just managed to get through the battle! I set the window to quarter size and lowered all the quality levels of everything I could find. I don't know if that helped but I managed to defeat Adel without her using that move once.
