I used to stare at lights and then close my eyes and watch the shapes change.

sometimes when i rub my eyes and close them, i see what appears to be flashes of lightning. more commonly, i see this image that resembles a yellow lip gloss or the sliced side of a lemon. it gets smaller and smaller (or fades) when i open and close my eyes - then it disappears...

Oh, good, it's not just me. I generally get that, or some variation.

If you think of a color then whatever it is now will slowly fade to the color your thinking. It also works with shapes. I've known about it for years.
