Official "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" Thread

This is the official Zelda: Twilight Princess thread! This upcoming Zelda game will be released for both GameCube and Wii on the same day (Wii's unknown launch date). The Wii is just a port of the GC version that takes advantage of the Wiimote features, adds widescreen, and has slightly better textures. However, it will not have the full 360 camera control that the GC version has. Anyways, here is where you post news on Twilight Princess, new screenshots/pics, or just talk about how this game will rock. Afterall, Nintendo is trying everything to make this game surpass Ocarina of Time. It already has more dungeons, weapons/items, and sidequests than Ocarina of Time. What more could you ask for?


Game Info: For though of you who are behind on Twilight Princess info, the game takes place a few decades after Ocarina of Time. You are a new Link that has grown up as a rancher, therefor, he is an expert horse-rider, and even knows combat. Of coarse, creatures come into his home village and kidnap two of his friends. Link starts his quest trying to find them, but there is something else. There is a Twilight Realm that is slowly sucking away Hyrule, destroying anything in its path. The Twilight Realm is just like a virus that is slowly spreading throughout Hyrule. However, when Link enters this Twilight, he transforms into a wolf. In his wolf form, he meets a strange female cat-like creature named Midna. She has her own agenda, and uses Link to fullfill her duties. She rides Wolf Link's back in the Twilight Realm, but in the regular world, she is Link's shadow. Not much more is known about the game.

*Ganon is confirmed to be in Twilight Princess
*Zelda is confirmed to be the women in the black cloak (in trailer 3)
*The Twilight Realm has been redone. It is no longer black and white, it is now full of saturated colors.
*Link will get the Master Sword
*Takes place decades after Ocarina of Time
*Midna is Link's shadow in the normal world
*Comfirmed to have more dungeons, minigames, items, and sidequests than Ocarina of Time
*Gorons are in the game though they are confirmed to be a different kind.
*Link transforms into a wolf when entering the Twilight Realm
*Animals will play a big part of the game
*The horse is not the only wat to get around Hyrule (Aonuma hinted at a flying creature)

Voices yes, but only the way OoT, MM and WW had them. Just random NPC's making sounds when you talk to them. o.o

I know the lead carpenter's noise was hilarious he sounded like a rooster, and the zora's in Majora's Mask were funny too, When I convert over to the Wii this will be my first purchase, and fyi Majora's Mask had way more side quests than Ocarina of Time.

I doubt there will be voice acting, but Aonuma said at E3 05 that they are going to do more with the voices then they have in the past with OoT, MM, and tWW. He just didn't say exactly what...

I know, but that is only because the main quest was much shorter. Only 4 temples. However, all the side-quests make up for it. Favorite one has gotta be the Kafei and Anju one.

I liked defending the aliens from the Romani Ranch, it's funny that my strategy guide side if you fail that she'll return on the Final day, but I found her on the Second Day behind some bushes, she couldn't even talk, I think voice acting would ruin it anyway, but that's probably because I'm used to the old ones.

I kind of hope the Happy Mask selling side-quest from Ocarina of Time returns in Twilight Princess. Imagine traveling through the massive land of Hyrule looking for people who want your masks. Since the world is so much bigger, there would be more masks to sell and it would be more challenging to find the people who want the right mask.

Yea, my friend said she read on a LoZ site, and a game magazine that they are learning the "Zelda Language" aka Hylian. So they talk..but not how they talk in FF games [like X or X2], but more then those little noises Link makes.
