How do u use the Blitz technique 4 Sabin?

Right now I'm fighting Vargas and I'am using Sabin. The thing is I keep on reading the instructions about how 2 use blitz. Its just that every time I use it the thing says incorrect blitz input. So can someone tell me how 2 use it correctly?

Select Blitz.

Left, Right, Left. And then hit the button you used to select the blitz choice. (Some people change their controllers/keys around. so what ever button serves as Enter)

You have time, so don't try to do it to fast. Alot of time if I did it to fast it wouldn't come up. So just select. Left.... Right.... Left. Then Enter.

Yeah, I don't know why, but Blitzing at first always just seems to fail. Keep trying.

You can't select an enemy, hence you can hit left, right, left.
