    Default Best Song Ever

Now it's time for song opinions.

In mine, my favorite is Drops Of Jupiter by Trains.

My favourite song is probably "Good Girl" by The Mad Capsule Markets.
Or maybe "This Is Love" by Hi-Standard.
    Or maybe the Akira soundtrack.
Or maybe "Midi Surf" by The Mad Capsule Markets.

There's a difference between favorite song and the best song ever.

My favorite song is <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGA9WV1p-B4">"Thirsty Boots" by Eric Andersen</a>. (link is to a video of me performing it)

<i>You've long been on the open road, sleeping in the rain
From dirty words and muddy cells, your clothes are smeared and stained
But the dirty words and muddy cells will soon be judged insane
So only stop and rest yourself and you'll be off again.

    CHORUS:
Take off of your thirsty boots and stay for awhile
Your feet are hot and weary from a dusty mile
And maybe I can make you laugh, and maybe I can try
Looking for the evening and the morning in your eyes.

Tell me of the ones you've seen as far as you could see
Across the plains from field to town a-marchin' to be free
And of the rusted prison gates that tumble by degree
Like laughing children one by one, they look like you and me.

    CHORUS

I know you are no stranger down the crooked rainbow trails
From dancing cliff-edge shattered sills of slander-shackled jails
Where the melodies drift up from below, as walls are being scaled
Yes, all of this, and more my friend, your song shall not be failed.

    CHORUS
    </i>

I think the "best song ever" would be <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHkT2YfqHE4">Don McLean's "American Pie"</a>. I won't post those lyrics, because they're too long.

Not sure if there is such a thing as "best song ever", people like so many different things. A personal fave of mine though would have to be Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. I really like that song. I'm actually getting my friend a fishbowl for her b-day because she really likes the song as well. If you know the song, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I don't know what the best song is ... but chances are Holly Knight wrote it

    http://www.hollyknight.com/disco.html
Chuck Noblet: Can anyone tell me the tragic irony of the Trojan War? Tina? Tina: Um, that horses are friendly creatures yet a hollow, wooden one was used to destroy Troy? Chuck Noblet: Wrong and no. Anyone else? Chip? Chip: That the mighty warrior Achilles was killed by a small cut to his ankle. Chuck Noblet: Chip is wronger. OK, here it is. The tragic irony of the Trojan War is that though it was fought over Helen, who was young and beautiful, by the time they rescued her ten years later, she was old and ugly. Tina: But wasn't recovering the king's wife reward enough for the Greeks? Chuck Noblet: Tina, an ugly woman is never a reward.

Depends on what I feel like.
Currently I am addicted to Loser by Beck and Wrong Way by Sublime.
    Silly jilly ultra nuggets.
    My sig was deleted.

Thats what i think is the best song by a neutral vote, but for me personally it would be Do For Love by 2Pac.

Lets face it, favourites change so often and then as the times change and decades go past, even the best song 10 years ago becomes slightly naff with age! (A bit like fashions!)

Take for instance the top song for 1975, "Love will keep us together" by the Captain & Tenille. Still okay, but unlikely to be admitted! And the Doobie Bros, "What a fool believes" - great but a little dated. Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was groundbreaking and is still popular. I personally love Simon Webbe's "No worries" at the moment, along with about 20 other favourites!
