    Default Identical Twins

I was wondering has there ever been a pair of identical twins in FF? I don't think so Palom and Porom from IV were twins, but of different genders. Do you think that FF should have a pair of identical twins or triplets? They could make less gimmicky by having the twins dress differently and have different personalities and weapons.

FFV had them. It's fairly reasonable to say that Reina and Faris are identical twins. If not, then they are at least twin sisters.

This picture takes the cake, but I don't remember if it's explicitly stated in the game

I don’t know why you would assume that, since the sprite aren’t the least bit similar and the game never makes a reference to how Faris and Reina look exactly the same. The similarities between those CG models aren’t exactly uncanny either.

Apart from obviously utilizing the same character model (something rather common throughout the PSX games), there really isn’t a great deal of common ground between the two. Their eyes, eyebrows and nose are completely different. Even their lips are a slightly different shape.

The only identical characters that I can think of are Tidus and Shuyin, and they were far from twins.

    They were twins, yes.
BTW: Reina and Faris are 2 years apart. Reina's 18 and Faris is 20.

Edgar and Sabin are twins, yes. Lenna and Faris aren't twins, it's shown in the game in a flashback how Faris' parents were away and she had to take care of her little sister, Lenna. I'm not sure if you can consider the Onion Kids in FF3j NES quadruplets (sp). Palom and Poroms are twins, though of different genders. I'm not totally sure about (FFIV Spoiler)Cecil and Golbez. I don't think Zorn and Thorn are twins because Kuja says, "Don't worry, I hear these twins put on quite a good show. Of course, they're really not twins at all..."
