Explore the world.

The whole point of the game is to adventure. Cross the bridge and explore. You never know what you'll find. There's no point in playing the game if you want to be led by the hand from point A to point B without doing anything for yourself.

Yeah he right it took me ages to find each crystal its very important to listen to what everyone has to say to you the dancing girl in cornelia stops having information farely quick!!!

Someone in each town will always tell you where to head next.
Someone in Coneria said that Pirates attacked his city.

there are hints spread throughout the game on what to do next. cross the bridge and search for a town. that bridge wasnt made for nothing. just in case you dont know there is a way to bring up a world map which may be useful. on GBA you need to press A+select to bring it up but its different on the other versions. the games pretty straight forwards. just explore the world and youll do fine.

It will take you a long, long time until you reach the first crystal. But for now, cross the bridge, explore the world and fight battles to level up. If you want some pointers, (SPOILER)visit Matoya's cave to the north of Coneria, and then go to Pravoka to the east of Coneria. Defeat the pirates there, and you'll get their ship. After that, there's several places to explore, such as the Dwarf Cave and the Elf Land, with the sleeping prince and the funny Link cameo. Take your time and have fun with the game, you can't rush to the first crystal right away. Rushing through the game generally isn't a good idea anyway, IMHO. When I played a game of FF1 where I just tried to beat the game as fast as possible, I didn't really get to enjoy the game as much.

I don't wanna spoil anything for you , but always remember to bring plenty of antidotes , pheonix downs , potions, and ethers if you have mages. Especially around elfhiem. Try to run from most random fights untill after class change. I was lvl 50 or so when i got to the citadel the first time.... My stats paid for it too.... If you're playin on the dos version , after you light up all the crystals , go do all of the soc dungeons starting with earthgift shrine.Dude if you get stuck anywhere on the game , just ask me for help.
