About 20 hours, I spent the day playing FFVII :D. I definately dont play like that all the time, a long session to me is no more than 10 hours, im usually like that when playing RPG's or Fighting game. In fact, I spent a good amount of time playing Valkyrie Profile yesterday.
36+ is impossible. No games that good. *dodges rocks*
I spent a good 16 hours playing Kingdom hearts. That game can be addictive. I spent about 20 hours playing Warcraft 3 with my american friend. I've spent like 24 hours playing a playerworlds MMORPG (not text based).
So many hours wasted.
In last two years, the most at one time has been maybe 10-8.
You might be surprised, humans seem to enjoy going to sick extremes of endurance in some cases. I have yet to actually meet someone who played a game for that long in one go, but I am certain that they must exist.
I mean, I played for 32 hours straight myself, so it's somewhat tangible to me.

but i was platform jumping
computer to PS2 and back
if you could count sleeping less than 5 hours at a time then my record is around 70 hours
ohh i should be able to count the hours i spent playing PS2 & Computer at the same time as 2 hours LOL, because somtimes i play Final Fantasy or somthing between rounds in counter strike or while im playing an MMO and the group is going afk or somthing. i didnt though, but that would be a crazy record then.

I usually clock 16 hours on the internet a day, and most of that is playing games.
Fortunately, I always take a sleep break.
The longest single game session I've had would probably be when I played FFIX for 19 hours straight, and I didn't get anywhere either... It was all sidequests. I know I must've played FFXI for longer than that in one session but I forget how long that would be. There's other games like Suikoden V and stuff that I've played for the entire day, but I didn't note the time like I did with FFIX.
new record! 39 hours, 27 minutes and 19 seconds playing DDR and Guitar Hero at the same time
usually on starting new and interesting games, i would go for hours and forget about meals. it eventually slows down after that. the last time was with Kingdom Hearts II, which i played about 8 hours of the first two days...
All night long, I played Super Mario RPG.

God, I love those games
EDIT: oh, it was 40 hours with Gran Turismo and the others with Champions of Norrath. I didn't sleep. After that time, I was a little freaky and paranoic :riiight:
