Thread: Red Mage at LVL 3?

Default Red Mage at LVL 3?

What do you get with a Red Mage after getting 999 AP to get to LVL 3? Is it worth it?

Only if you know how to use it. Combine it with level6 time magic

X-Magic is very useful, indeed, if you know how to combine it with other good abilities and spells. Here's two moves that I mostly use with the X-Magic ability: X-Magic Haste2 and Golem, or Quick + X-Magic + 2x Bahamut + Mime (or 2x Bahamut again if you don't have Mime).

X-Magic/Mime is pretty devastating, if you took the time to learn both of those abilities.

Time Magic and Summons get added into it if those are also equipped, so that's worth a shot. Sephiroth1999AD posted some good strategies.

Of course, I still love my good old Mime/Throw.

You can also equip a Mimic with X-Magic, Summon and Dimen, so you don't have to master the Mimic class. That's what I did to Cara on my previous game of FFV.

Cast Bahamut (under X-magic) then Quick (under X-magic) Then cast Bahamut twice and mime. A character can summon Bahamut five times in one turn that way. (set up - mime, x-magic, time6 and summon 5) A party set up like this can summon Bahamut 20 times in one turn
