I don't consider FFIX a bad game - which is why it's not on any of my lists of bad games - but I do think it's overrated and not nearly as good as any other FF from VI through X-2. For every 'FFVIII sucks" post you will easily find a "ZOMG gunblade *cums*" one. FFIX only tends to get credit on FF forums; it really isn't popular enough to generate either positive or negative attention anywhere else.
While I would usually commend someone for bashing Xenogears, there is no way that that or FFVII are the worst games ever.
Really, I have enough common sense to stay away from games that are considered 'the worst ever', so there isn't much I can contribute to this thread. However, If someone wants to start a 'most overrated games ever' thread I would be glad to post a few of my thought there.
Either Lotr:fellowship for Gba like Genji said because of its poor battle's, graphics, and the Glitches that made me restart the game, or this online game i found http://www.battleon.com/ . the battle scenes made me laugh so hard.

A game called Tunguska for the PC on my 12th birthday. It was so bad that I took it to school to show my jealous mates and deliberately got it stolen, then went and bought a decent replacement.
