Lowell, part of my AP portfolio that I finally got back. Done in crayon.
(the class assignment was to do a picture and weave strips of paper through it. Everyone else was doing dumb geometric designs, so i thought I'd do something more fun)
A strange idea to interlace the drawing like you did, but i think it pays off well. Doing drawings in crayon can be problematic i guess, but this drawing shows no sign of that.
I really like this one. Well done.

God... I hate working with crayons, and on that note, I am impressed with what you have done here. The colours work well, and they seem soft and blended well. And interweaving pieces of paper into a piece of artwork intrigues me. I may have to try such a thing on one of my own pieces of artwork.
...
I like the blending you managed with crayons, i find that hard to do. Before reading the post i was like, whats with the colored lines? then i felt like an idiot after reading it.
the secrets to crayons is press hard.
I'm glad you mentioned the colors going well together, Nominus-- I had forgotten that the other part of the assignment was to do it either in warm shades or cool shades xD And accordingly, most people either used Blue, Green, and Purple, or Red, Yellow, and Orange.
those exact shades too.
I like this alot. You have alot of skill with crayons.....I haven't used crayons in years. It's probably about time I did. Well done![]()
Yeah same here.. i didn't know it could turn out so smooth.Originally Posted by Slade
