*I am uncomfortable with the word "gay" - and with all other sexual labels - because I see them as an attempt by modern society to sort people into neat categories...rather like specimens at a zoo - and to simplify something (sexuality) that is extremely complex. Sexual labels are constraints.... They limit us and dictate to us who we *can* and *cannot* fall in love with - to fit into our assigned sexual category. If a "gay" man falls in love with a woman...must he start calling himself "bisexual"? Has he become a "bisexual"...? Even if he only ever loves that one woman...? Is that *enough* to make him a "bisexual"...? And so on.... These are some of the problems that sexual labels present us with.... Best to do away with them altogether, IMO. As far as I'm concerned, there is only sexual behaviour - not fixed sexual identities.
