I was really depressed when I turned 20 because I enjoyed my teenage years muchly and I wailed on and on about getting old. But what comforted me was that no matter what, no matter how old I get, my boyfriend will always be older. Hee.

My friends range from 17 to 26 roughly so I mix with a varied age group. I laugh at my 22 year old friend for being an old man. He complains about the youth of today.

Given advances in medical science and an ever-increasing average life expectancy, 27 is not as old as it used to be. I for one am happy to put as much distance as possible between myself and teenagerhood.

There should be a law that you're not aloud to whine about being old until you're at least 30. And even then, only on Sundays until you turn 40.
