I was born in '79. Do the math. I joined EoFF on 3/2001, and pretty much haven't left. I wasn't always a regular, but w/e.
I think I came back recently because of the wedding business.
ANYWHO that's not the point of the thread. The point is that I'm sitting here, about to turn frigging TWENTY SEVEN years old, and it's freaking nuts.
Why is this happening? I dunwanna grow up I'm a toy-r-us kid

Heh, I just hit 2-8 last month, and it didn't bother me too much. I still feel like I'm in my mid-20s and enjoy life so I can't complain. I think "old age" is a mind set. As one of my wife's friends (who is 65) once put it, "Regardless of their number age, if they like to have a good time and are fun to be around, I consider them the same age as me. If they're immature, they're younger than me and if they are a boring stick in the mud then they are older than me."

I'm officially silver (if you get me). All of the cliches about getting older, it seems to me, are true.
As a kid, and even as a teenager, time was was like a trail of sap at just above freezing inching down a tree...
Now time is like- to quote Rocky's trainer Mickey: "Like greased lightnin'!"
I'm sure I'll be in my fifties by the time I can lay down my next post...

the thing about getting older, is you've lived longer, so the same period of time seems a lot shorter. When you've only lived 10 years, that next year is pretty long cause it equals 1/10 of your life so far. But when you get up to say 25, that next year is only 1/25 of your life so it seems shorter.
Personally, I just turned 20 a week ago, and I'm glad to be out of the teens.

When you're on a videogame message board, it's hard not to feel old. When I play online games I feel older than most people, but that's due to either a high pitched voice or the fact that 2/3 of the people I get matched against are complete assholes. Most of my family is either 30+ or 15- there are only like 5 around my age, one cousin a year older, another 2 years older and 3 or so around 23-27, and 27 isnt that old, though I agree even at 19 playinhg online games like RO makes you feel like your ancient, since the age of players goes down fast, all of the people ive talked to on qRO (other then StarChild) are between 12 and 16.
