I have a problem.The installation of the damn thing is alright, but its taking forever!ive spent from 7:45A.M. today till now installing this damn thing!I have the vanadiel collection, can anyone tell me if this is normal?

If you're talking about downloading and installing all of the updates, it takes at least a couple of hours, and possibly a lot more depending upon how fast your internet connection is.

It took me nearly 5 hours when I bought the game before I actually got to play, frustration came and went and came again lol. Another thing i've learnt is if you see that their doing any server maintainence, switch on a good hour before you want to play and start downloading the updates, theres nothing more irritating than swtching my 360 on and then watching it download and install update what takes about an hour.

Well, thats quite normal if you think about it, add in how big the world map is, all the different monsters, all the different items, every single NPC, quests, missions, its quite reasonable if you ask me.But yes, its normal.

FFXI's update servers are horribly overloaded.

Took me ages to install FFXI, partially because my sister restarted the computer halfway through which really screwed it up.
